Kathryn Bentley has lived in New York for the last 10 years. She began studying painting at the School of Visual Arts and discovered her passion for jewelry design during an apprenticeship with Philip Crangi. Kathryn finds inspiration in architecture, talisman and tribal cultures. Her organic designs mimic patterns and textures she finds both in the city and in nature.

Kathryn considers making jewelry a gift. Her one-of-a-kind pieces each carry their own personal symbolism. Many are created using notions of protection, spiritual beliefs and eternity. "I want to create timeless pieces that can be passed down as heirlooms to the next generation,"she says.

Kathryn's jewelry is produced using the lost wax technique and each piece is hand made. She uses gold, silver and unique gem stones.
